This week, our Secret Weapons playlist comes from Scottish techno stalwarts and SOMA Records founders Slam, ahead of their Pressure party. The Waveform Transmitter‘s Ste Knight takes a look at what the duo’s devastating arsenal looks like…
Today (01/11/2019) sees techno kingpins and founders of the amazing Soma Records – Slam – heading to SWG3 for seven hours of totally uncompromising techno and electro at their Maximum Pressure Halloween party, featuring the finest names currently inhabiting the scene. If you don’t have tickets then we suggest you jump on the few remaining Final Release tickets before they are snapped up; this is a big night. You can grab your tickets here.
The line-up for tonight’s event really couldn’t get much more exciting. The event is spread across two rooms, and we defy you NOT to find a clash throughout the evening. Room 1 – Galvanisers – features the heavyweights on the line-up. Obviously Slam are going to be making an appearance, joined by the inimitable talents of Helena Hauff, Karren, and Paula Temple. Expect things to get heavy in there, then…
Room 2 – TV Studio – features a killer b2b between Jasper James and Ryan Elliot. House maestro’s and Soma favourites Silicone Soul will also be making an appearance (check out their exclusive mix for Waveform Transmitter, here). Another favourite label, Craigie Knowes (named after a locality in Perth) will be joining the fray, and Pulse rezzie Darrell Pulse weighs in with his techno bombardment.
Speaking of which, Slam have put together a killer Secret Weapons for your enjoyment. Lets take a look in their magazine loaded with incendiary shells and see what devastating shots they’ll be firing off at Maximum Pressure tonight…
