
Liverpool’s ultimate reggae festival, Positive Vibration, returns triumphantly in 2018. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight has the scoop on the festival’s first phase line-up.
Having won several awards since starting out back in 2016, Liverpool’s very own slice of the ‘little island in the sun’ makes a very welcome return to our little island in the drizzle on Friday 8th – Saturday 9th June.
Bringing rays of sunshiney positivity our way, Positive Vibration has today dropped it’s first phase line-up announcement and we can guarantee that this one is going to blow you away, potentially being their strongest line-up yet.
Up to now, the roster fetaures…Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band, Adrian Sherwood and Creation Rebel, Sister Nancy and Legal Shot Sound System, Iration Steppas, Misty in Roots, Don Letts, Channel One Sound System, Manudigital with Parly B and Bazil, Capital Letters, Radikal Guru with Echo Ranks and Cian Finn, Dubkasm with Solo Banton, Count Skylarkin’ presents ‘Derek’s Island Discs’.
As with the previous two years, the festival is also a showcase for the Art of Reggae exhibition, where you can check out some genuinely creative and thoughtful interpretations of the reggae sound in visual form. Funds raised from the sale of the posters goes to the Alpha Boys School in Jamaica.
