The UK Sees Its First Vinyl Festival at Printworks, London, in September.

Printworks are readying themselves to host the UK’s first Vinyl Festival. The Waveform Transmitter’s Andy Weights waxes lyrical.

On Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September, The Vinyl Festival will make its debut providing a weekend of all things vinyl, to be held at Printworks in London.

Bringing together all aspects of vinyl culture, festival-goers can spade their way through thousands of crates of vinyl from 100 stalls from the UK’s most vibrant independent labels and record traders, plus more stands showing off the newest gadgets and gizmos in audio technology, hardware and record care. Visitors can also have their records evaluated in the Vinyl Valuation area.

If that’s not enough entertainment for you, leading industry DJs will be providing the grooves to the super spinning weekend, as well as speaking about their experiences with one of the fantastic formats.

Guests include BBC 6 Music’s DJ and Fun Lovin’ CriminalsHuey Morgan who will no doubt have his own personal view of vinyl culture growing up in New York. Charlatans lead singer Tim Burgess, the vinyl author and record label leader, will shine the light on some of his published work on the subject.

Save up, work your arse off or sell your unwanteds as this is a must-go show for music fans, turntablists and vinyl collectors alike. This is the UK’s only vinyl event of its kind and starting at a very reasonable £16 early bird entry, excellent value for money.

Long Live Vinyl FounderIan Peel, said of the event: “The Vinyl Festival celebrates the very best of the format we all love, and is exactly what our readers have been crying out for. We’re incredibly proud to bring you everything from a massive record fair to some of the UK’s finest indie labels and some top headline DJ performances, all under one roof. We couldn’t be more excited to see this dream become a reality.”

Street food vendors and fully stocked bars serving craft beer will provide refreshments throughout the weekend.

Early Bird tickets now available, starting from just £16, with day, weekend and VIP packages available.

The Vinyl Festival is working alongside charity partner Music for All – dedicated to providing access to musical instruments to people from all walks of life.
