Dance music superpower Ministry of Sound is heading to up north to Bolton. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight has the details of what is set to be a big event for the town.

One might be forgiven for not associating the northern town of Bolton with one of the world’s biggest dance brands, Ministry of Sound. Well, that is set to become a thing of the past, as February 11th sees the legendary powerhouse make the trip up north to Lancashire for an intimate party at The Bleachworks as part of their 25-year celebrations.

Ministry of Sound resident DJ, Tim Cullen, who has been spinning wax at the London club and has seen his tracks released on the likes of GrinToolroom, and Skint, will be headlining the night. Fans will recognise Tim as the producer of anthems such as Discobomb and Skank Marvin, and no doubt he’ll have a few tricks up his sleeve on the night to rock the dancefloor to its foundations.

Tim is joined by Mick Davies, who is well known as the resident at The Bleachworks, and two Blackburn-based DJs, Dale Jones and Claudio Bellusci. Expect to be hearing plenty of up-front and classic house cuts at the event.

The Bleachworks is a small venue, with a capacity of just over 200, so this is a chance to catch some top DJs in an intimate setting. Buses will be provided to the venue on Blackburn Road.

Tickets are available from Skiddle, here. There is a flash sale at 2 pm today for £10 tickets so keep your eyes peeled!
