Whether you’re a seasoned traveller or a festival fledging Gottwood Festival has got what you need! It’s happening on the June 8th-11th 2017, in Gottwood Forest, Llanfaethlu, Wales, and this year’s line-up hosts a cracking combination of veterans and some of the best upcoming acts around.

The festival is well thought of for its adventurous bookings and it looks like they are continuing to share their impressive palette of tastes with us again this year.

Mathew Johnson, the Canadian synth-master, will be in attendance, with fast-rising newbies Red Axes from Tel Aviv who will bring the underground psychedelic sounds from their much-anticipated new album. Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra will drench the forest with their footloose afrobeat sounds, while Christian Löffler will cause cinematic soundwaves with his set around the lake stage. We will also see Extrawelt return with their powerful and energetic live show.

Roman Flügel, a pillar of the German electronic music scene, will be heard echoing around the trees as will his fellow countryman’s brain swivelling old hand XDB, who will be leading the festival’s techno aspects alongside Panorama Bar regular Ryan Elliot.

Gottwood’s much-loved Move D will be returning for a number of appearances with Fabric resident and Houghton co-founder Craig Richards, who promises to play a set made for giants. Also returning will be Boiler Room host and Rhythm Section label owner Bradley Zero. One Records boss Adam Shelton and Manchester’s Ruf Dug will also be making an appearance.

Eclectic French duo dOP will be making aural memories come alive with their unique live show. Jonny Nash will offer a variation to proceedings in the form of guitar drenched ambience with Ross from Friends making their mark on the lo-fi house scene.

Nicolas Lutz, Francesco Del Garda, Sonja Moonear, Alex & Digby, tINI, Thomas Melchior, and Hold Youth all return to display the minimal, stripped-back, joyous love affair that began with Gottwood a few years back.

This year will see world-renowned Norwegian, Lindstrøm, play a much-anticipated live set, Disco Halal‘s Moscoman pushes his new-wave sound and the aural chemist Erol Alkan going b2b with Leon Vynehall in what is sure to be a monumental set.

Dutch leftfield master Frits Wentink will make the journey, as will The Black Madonna who comes to the Welsh forest for the first time.

Last year saw Crazy P Soundsystem smash it and they return this year to reaffirm Gottwood‘s excellent disco credentials, as do Horse Meat DiscoFelix Dickinson, Waifs & Strays, and Jayda GLEVELZ, from Manchester, will bring their underground urban sounds. 2 Bad Mice, known for their own nostalgic breakbeat and hardcore, are also set to attend.

Included in the line-up is the highly sought-after Levon Vincent, founder of Modern Sun RecordsSkymark, and the UK’s own highly respected sonic-imagineer Matthew Herbert. Finally, prepare yet again to be taken on a journey through multiple worldly genres with Tenderlonious.

The festival looks amazing and your year is bound to sound off to the beat of Gottwood 2017.  So, what are you waiting for?! Grab your tickets while you still can and get over there. Hopefully, The Waveform Transmitter will see you between the trees.
