Nina Kraviz, the Siberian ‘Queen of Techno’, is set to launch her brand new Galaxiid label. The Waveform Transmitter’s Ste Knight has the latest.

Nina Kraviz is a name synonymous with high-energy techno, not only in her mesmerising DJ sets but also in her recorded material.

For several years now, the Siberian producer and DJ has enjoyed countless successful releases, and her first Fabric mix CD was released in 2016 to critical acclaim.

As if her constant country-hopping wasn’t enough, Nina also runs her own label – трип (or Trip) – which features a glut of well-respected artists, including the brilliant Bjarki, alongside Nina herself.

News has broken here at The Waveform Transmitter that Kraviz is set to launch a brand new label – ‘Galaxiid’ – which we are told is set to feature artists on a more leftfield spectrum, with experimental, ambient, and psychedelia all falling under the Galaxiid umbrella.

To celebrate the launch of the label, a Galaxiid launch party is set to take place at Printworks London, on March 25th. The line-up is seriously one to envy, with 808 State (live), Aleksi Perala, Bjarki, Dopplereffekt (live), Luke Vibert, and PTU all set to grease the wheels alongside Nina herself.

Tickets for the event are available from Printworks, here.
